The Smartest Dog Breed - Border Collie
The Border Collie dog breed was developed to gather and control sheep in the hilly border country between Scotland and England. They are champion herders and goose masters. They’re known for their intense stare, or “the eyes” to staring intensely at members of the flock to intimidate them.
Border Collies are extremely Smart Dogs. Dog experts widely agree that the Border Collie is an intelligent workaholic. They are capable of learning a remarkable number of words and commands, and they are happiest when they are put to work every day.
They are records holders. They've broken all kinds of records. A Border Collie named Chaser knows the names of more than 1,000 objects. Jumpy, a border collie holds a Guinness World Record for dog skateboarding: 100 meters in less than 20 seconds. Two border collies named Wish and Halo set the newest Guinness World Records in the year 2021 that performed the most tricks in one minute.
They are bright workaholics, when they receive any command or instruction from the owner, they are happy to follow. They aren’t suitable for apartment living, and would absolutely choose a rugged, wild landscape for a backyard over anything else.
Short of climbing trees, the Border Collie will take to any wild terrain like a fish in water. The more the merrier when it comes to adventure and exploration!
Last but not least, Border collies are lovely, they show affection in many interesting ways. They can make for great family companions. If you want a loving, brainy dog who will keep you active and, on your toes, this may be the breed for you!
